I’m Shaoen, a second-year student in the IBMBA program. Joining the IBMBA program has been an incredible journey for me. Over the past year, in addition to acquiring rigorous business knowledge and learning to apply it to international markets, the most significant lesson I have learned is how to collaborate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Overcoming language barriers and adapting to various working styles requires a period of adjustment. However, as opportunities for collaboration increased, I learned to deal with these differences. I discovered the nuances of communication and the specific leadership styles necessary to foster a comfortable and trusting environment where the team could work harmoniously toward our collective goals. Because of this invaluable experience, I knew exactly how to initiate team bonding and chemistry during my exchange program this year. When communication issues arose, I could convey my ideas clearly and bridge the gap between different perspectives.

In conclusion, the opportunities provided by the IBMBA program are truly precious. I am confident that the combination of hard professional expertise and soft intercultural skills I have developed here will empower me to excel in any global professional environment in the future.
