“With IBMBA, I found more than a master’s program—I found a bridge that connects my past experiences, my international ambitions, and the future I want to build.”
With a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wenzao Ursuline University, my academic foundation was shaped largely through Mandarin-language courses and a very localized approach to business. While this background gave me a strong understanding of Taiwan’s business environment, I knew I wanted to broaden my perspective and expand my social mobility. This motivation—combined with my experience working as an Administrative Assistant and E-commerce Project Manager for a Canadian start-up—led me to pursue the IBMBA program at National Sun Yat-sen University.
From the moment I joined, IBMBA proved to be the international learning environment I had been looking for. The program brings together students from around the world, creating a space where ideas, cultures, and business perspectives constantly intersect. Professors encourage us to think critically, challenge assumptions, and engage in discussions that mirror real global business dialogue. The academic facilities and support systems on campus make it easy to focus, collaborate, and explore new knowledge.
One of the aspects I value most about IBMBA is the abundance of opportunities for experiential learning. Last year, I was honored to win 2nd Place and the Special Sustainability Award at the ESSC Social Project Competition organized by Rotary Taipei—an achievement made possible thanks to the program’s encouragement and resources. I am currently preparing to represent NSYSU in a business case competition in Vermont, USA this coming January, another opportunity the school is generously supporting.
The program is truly what you make of it. For students who take initiative, IBMBA offers endless possibilities—academic, professional, and personal. From joining competitions to participating in student organizations, you are constantly learning by doing. Serving as the Vice President of the IBMBA Student Association in the fall semester allowed me to collaborate with peers, contribute to campus life, and further develop my leadership skills. These experiences helped me build meaningful connections with classmates, professors, and industry mentors—an invaluable network, especially for those who plan to build their career in Taiwan.
Looking ahead, I know that when graduation comes, I will miss this life immensely. IBMBA has given me not only knowledge, but also confidence, friendships, and real-world experience that I will carry into the business world. This program has opened doors for me, shaped my ambitions, and given me a community I know I will continue to return to long after I leave campus.
For anyone considering IBMBA, I believe it is a place where you can grow, explore, and redefine your future—if you have the curiosity and courage to take the first step.
