With a bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations, I was motivated to step beyond the boundaries of my field and seek a program that would broaden my horizons. That’s why I chose IBMBA—a place that brings together people from all over the world and encourages us to think beyond textbooks.
IBMBA has been like a mini global village. Classes are open and dynamic. There are rarely “right answers.” Instead, professors push us to frame our perspectives and create meaning in our responses. This environment also gave me valuable opportunities, such as representing NSYSU in the Schlesinger Global Family Enterprise Case Competition (SG-FECC)—an experience that strengthened both my confidence and my ability to engage in international dialogue.
Additionally, the sparks that come from cultural exchange are equally important. Working with classmates from diverse backgrounds has taught me how to listen, adapt, and collaborate across cultures—skills that I know will be crucial as I continue to my dual-degree journey in France.
As a Kaohsiung local, this year has also been a rediscovery of my hometown. While many prefer to leave their city for graduate studies, staying here allowed me to reconnect with the place where I grew up and proudly introduce international classmates to this seaside city. It reminded me that Kaohsiung is not just home—it’s a place worth sharing with the world.
To Future Students: IBMBA is full of opportunities, but it’s up to you to take them. If you’re open-minded, curious, and willing to step outside your comfort zone, this program will give you not only knowledge, but also experiences and friendships that will stay with you for a lifetime.
