Lydia
I am currently a student in the International Business MBA (IBMBA) program at National Sun Yat-sen University. I chose this program because I wanted more than technical business knowledge. I was looking for a learning environment that would allow me to slow down, think clearly, and gradually shape my own direction for the future.
As I progressed through the program, I found that IBMBA places strong emphasis on the learning process itself. The courses are well structured and provide a solid foundation in international business, but they also leave space for students to reflect and ask questions. Many classes are discussion-based, which encourages us to connect theories with our own interests and experiences. Instead of being pushed toward a fixed career path, I was encouraged to think about what kind of role I want to take on in the future and why.
One aspect I truly appreciate is the flexibility of the program. Outside the classroom, I have had time to explore my career interests, reflect on my strengths, and think carefully about how I want to move forward. This balance between structured learning and personal reflection has been especially valuable to me, as it made the program feel supportive rather than overwhelming.
The international environment is another important part of my experience. The program offers exchange opportunities for students who wish to broaden their global perspective. In class, I frequently work with classmates from different cultural and academic backgrounds. These group experiences have improved my communication skills and taught me how to collaborate with people who think differently. They also create room for open discussion and genuine idea sharing.
Looking back, the IBMBA program has helped me grow in a quiet but meaningful way. It has given me both direction and space—direction through solid academic training, and space to explore my future with greater confidence and clarity.
