I joined the IBMBA program for two main reasons. First, I had a dream to live abroad. Second, I wanted to strengthen my professional skills in a way that could be recognized and applied. After one year, I found that many courses involve a lot of assignments and group reports, but the deeper growth often comes from doing research and the thesis.

One advantage of IBMBA is the flexibility with the thesis. Students can choose any professor in NSYSU as a supervisor, even from different departments, which allows more freedom to explore personal interests. Also, we do not need to confirm an advisor at the beginning. We have until the end of the first year, but it is still better to move early because popular professors are quickly taken.

The program also gives an international environment. All classes are taught in English, and students come from many different countries. This really improves English ability and cross-cultural communication. At the same time, it is easy for students to stay in their own groups, so it takes effort to build truly international connections.

For double degree and exchange, there are a few programs only for IBMBA and GHRM, but some are also open to the whole College of Management. This means competition is strong.

In my opinion, IBMBA is not perfect, but it offers both freedom and challenge. If you are active and willing to take responsibility, it can be a valuable journey.
