My name is Ting-Wei Hsu, and I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in international business MBA (IBMBA) at National Sun Yat-sen University, while serving as an International Sales Manager in the precision sheet-metal industry. Balancing graduate studies with the responsibilities of managing global customers and leading a sales department has been both demanding and rewarding, allowing me to apply academic insights directly to real- world challenges.

The IBMBA program has provided me with a strong foundation in international business management, blending theoretical frameworks with practical applications. Courses in global strategy, organizational behavior, and international marketing have deepened my understanding of cross-border operations and enhanced my ability to lead multicultural teams. What I value most is the program’s diverse environment—faculty with extensive expertise and classmates from various industries and countries. Their perspectives encourage me to think critically and adaptively, qualities that are essential in both academic and business settings.

Studying at NSYSU in Kaohsiung has been more than just an academic pursuit; it has been an experience of personal and professional growth. The program’s structure and support have enabled me to manage the dual roles of student and manager without compromising either. At the same time, the unique location and welcoming community create an inspiring environment to reflect, learn, and exchange ideas.

This journey has strengthened my strategic thinking, leadership skills, and global vision. It has also reinforced my confidence to take on greater responsibilities, not only within my current role but also in shaping the future of my industry. The IBMBA has been transformative, serving as a bridge between my professional experiences and academic advancement, and laying a strong foundation for my long-term aspirations in international business.
