Even though COVID-19 complicated my coming to Taiwan, once I arrived at NSYSU I felt welcome. I really feel like it was the right choice for me to study in this program. There are a variety of different courses that you can participate in, and I was able to choose the courses according to my interests. Studying in the IBMBA program requires a lot of teamwork which helps you to connect with people from all around the world.

I studied Business Administration - International Business during my Bachelor and I liked the intercultural communication and cross-cultural experience. Here at the IBMBA program, my class is made up of Taiwanese and international students from all over the world which opens up intercultural discussions in class that make every subject even more interesting.

For me, two of the most interesting courses were “Work and Culture” and “Sustainability of Global Enterprise”. The first one offered me the possibility for a lot of international exchange on different topics. The latter reminded me of the importance of current topics like the climate crisis from a business environment point of view. You can even choose courses from other departments which led me to a “Windsurfing”, “Diving” and “Gender Studies & Social Justice” course.

In the beginning, I chose NSYSU because of its beautiful scenery of green mountains and charming beaches. For IBMBA in particular, its curriculum is lean but complete, with a wide choice of courses to suit my interests and abilities. More importantly, I can improve both my English and Chinese by studying in this global class.

After the first semester, I feel relatively satisfied with my decision to enter the IBMBA program of NSYSU. Not only did I gain much knowledge about the International Business field, I also improved practical skills. Then, I deeply cherish my classmates, who have accompanied and coloured my Master’s life.

I highly recommend the course "Business Model Development and Practice of Social Enterprises," whose syllabus was very close to reality. Besides learning about some business models, we also had the opportunity to participate in workshops and the 「翻轉變革x科技創新x社會企業」competition. We met many experts, entrepreneurs, and excellent students from universities across Taiwan and learned a lot from them during the contest. Especially after travelling together, I also realised not many classes at the master's level can connect the teacher and students like this subject.

Since it’s a globalised world and we all are interconnected to each other directly or indirectly, therefore; the need for studying in International Business MBA program(IBMBA) was the perfect choice for me when the pandemic struck and I gave myself time to think how should I use this time to invest in myself. Seeing the course curriculum of NSYSU IBMBA program ignited my passion for studying this course and here I am in Taiwan pursuing my passion.

Studying IBMBA in NSYSU has been like a dream come true for me since I can use this time to get global exposure as the faculty and classmates come from different nationalities. It feels great to interact & share in-campus, off-campus life with them. IBMBA program gives me ample opportunities to grow my business knowledge along with learning how to work in a group since we have plenty of group projects and presentations.

There are plenty of worthful courses to choose from as there is no dearth of courses in the course selection each semester. For me, studying International Marketing Management and Portfolio Management are the 2 courses which I would recommend students to choose since these are very much related to our everyday life, no matter what work we are into. Marketing management course is specifically designed to know the trends which MNCs follow to keep their product on the hotlist & Portfolio Management course teaches us how to manage our finances in such a way that we tend to invest smartly so that we can get healthy returns as and when needed and we can retire early to “enjoy life king size”.

Studying in IBMBA at NSYSU gives me access to one of the best Business Administration programs in Taiwan as well as the opportunity to live in the beautiful city, Kaohsiung. The professors and classmates come from various backgrounds from all over the world and the diversity of the friends I have made here still surprises me till today. During my study at NSYSU, I was lucky to be part of the student association of the International Programs. I worked for the International relations office and the Office of Career Development of the College of Management.  My job as the SA vice president was to help students prepare for the real world through events and seminars. The team and the program also took time to make sure all the students have fun developing professional skill sets to help them deal with real business scenarios. I combined these experiences along with my previous skill sets and won the IEAT scholarship for international business students. I am very thankful for the opportunity and the support I got from NSYSU and the IBMBA program.

The IBMBA program did an outstanding job supporting the students. I want to give my support to the current student association who are doing a fine job keeping up the outstanding work and events amidst all the uncertainty around. That is what the IBMBA program trained us for, and they did a wonderful job coaching us.

The reason why I like the IBMBA program is that we have many opportunities to interact with people from all over the world with a fantastic study atmosphere surrounded by the natural landscape. The feature that appeals to me most is its all-English-Instructed Program; it lets me keep learning and practicing English even in Taiwan. IBMBA also helps me expand international horizons, build my network and friendships globally with other classmates and faculty from different countries. Besides the professional knowledge and experiences, I have been more open-minded about culture shock and differences.

In addition to this, it also provides lots of resources and opportunities from outstanding alumni and well-known enterprises. This seems to be very beneficial for all of us for our future career planning. The staff and faculties of IBMBA are friendly, courteous, and helpful. It’s my pleasure to meet all the friends in IBMBA, and I can tell that choosing IBMBA was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Studying at NSYSU IBMBA is an invaluable journey for me because I have never imagined that the life of studying for a master degree can be so colorful. I decided to join MBA after working for around two years. At that time, I thought that I could accumulate more academic knowledge and experience to pursue better careers in the future, so I did not hesitate too long to decide to pursue my master degree.

NSYSU IBMBA particularly caught my eyes because of its international resources. In this program, I can meet professors and students coming from diverse countries, and taking courses with them enables me to know more about different cultures and the way of learning. Additionally, IBMBA partners with many sister schools overseas, offering plentiful exchange and double degree opportunities. I myself chose to participate in the ESSCA double degree program at ESSCA School of Management in France. Thanks to IBMBA, my student life has been enriched more.

IBMBA also values our career paths development, and therefore the program invited alumni to share their experience with us, including how they prepare to apply for their jobs and what skills one needs to get the job. Most of them are from well-known international corporations where I dream of working as well. Through the sharing, I can have more practical suggestions to revise my resume and prepare for the interviews. Overall, IBMBA provides what I need, making me know more about myself, and orienting me towards my future career.

To me, studying at IBMBA is a life-changing experience. With the international learning environment, it helps me forge lifelong friendships globally and acquire diverse knowledge from faculty with different countries and expertise. It also provides me with the opportunities to work for a well-known multinational corporation as an intern and win an honorable award by getting involved in the business competition. Furthermore, IBMBA faculty members and staff are very helpful, friendly and can provide assistance efficiently. As one of the best universities in Taiwan, NSYSU offers a great platform for students to interact with amazing people from varied backgrounds and industries. The campus is lively and beautiful with a combination of mountain and sea views that supply the best natural spot to balance students life between study and recreation. Studying at IBMBA at NSYSU is definitely something I won’t regret.

What I like about IBMBA is that the professors and the staff are very close to the students and are always willing to help us. I think they are very easy to reach. There are also many extracurricular activities that are organized throughout the year to bring everybody together. I also like the multicultural atmosphere. Students in the IBMBA are mostly from Taiwan, but there are students from many countries around the world. I think this is very beneficial for us as we can learn from one another. All courses are taught in English, but we have the opportunity to learn Chinese as well in a very stimulating environment. It can definitely be useful for my future career. Finally, we are encouraged to gain professional experience in different ways, such as through company visits, consulting projects and internships, which allow us to strengthen our resumes.

What I like about the IBMBA program is the access to various academic and professional channels. All the professors not only teach according to the curricula, but they also provide the class with their own experiences in their respective fields. Many of them have received their higher education outside of Taiwan, and this contributes to the international realm IB constructs. Furthermore, some of them have worked in other areas before becoming professors; they can provide students with many opportunities such as internships, networking opportunities, and even future jobs. Being in IB also allows you to be in contact with the professional realm. I myself have worked with international educators when they visit the campus. I have also had the opportunity to represent NSYSU when visiting other campuses for educational conventions. I’m thankful for the platform the program has provided for me to grow academically and professionally.

IBMBA is an amazing two-year master’s degree program taught completely in English. It comes with amazing perks, such as free Chinese classes, many field trips and guest speakers, and last but not least great classmates and professors. I highly recommend this program for those who want to enrich their knowledge in international business and live in Kaohsiung, the best city in Taiwan!

Kaohsiung is a dream-come-true city. It has amazing attributes, such as convenience and safety, as well as a lot of excitement. You will find everything you are looking for here; there are mountains, the ocean, beaches, the nightlife, great food, the culture and many more things. In addition to that, Kaohsiung is affordable and a very relaxed city full of friendly people. You will fall in love with it.

What I like the IBMBA the most is that we have chances to interact with classmates from all over the world. Brainstorming during the class makes discussion more fruitful, especially with the diversity of the students in the classroom. Additionally, hanging out with friends from different backgrounds let us know how to embrace the cultural differences and helps us thin in others’ shoes.

I think Kaohsiung is the best!! As I was born and raised in Kaohsiung, after 4-5-year working in Taipei, I decided to come back to Kaohsiung for my master’s degree. No matter the weather, the food and the people in southern Taiwan is best part of this city; Kaohsiung has become more and more modernized and developed where there is high potential for many opportunities.

I am a local here compared to many of my other classmates. I have been in this city for 24 years already. Kaohsiung is such an energetic city with nice weather, friendly people and amazing food. Sharing resources from the government, Kaohsiung is in a more relaxed pace and is a comfortable city compared to the capital. With the sea view and mountains behind the school, I am glad that I have studied at the most beautiful university for my master’s degree here. In other words, I can see the sunset every day after class from the campus, dormitory or school cafeteria. I am glad that I chose IBMBA. Since I am not from a management background, I have learned a lot from these past two years. With friends from all over the world and of different backgrounds, students here need to try their best to cooperate together on the assignments given in class. Also, with the courses, training and the professional studies fully taught in English, I am sure this will help me in the future in the international working environment.

The IBMBA program at NSYSU incorporates both, theoretical and hands-on perspectives. The classes are taught in English by qualified professors who in many cases earned their master’s degree or PHD in Australia or in the U.S. The hands-on experience we can receive comes from international summer programs that are offered or internships with local Taiwanese companies. The program is also AACSB accredited which provides international recognition in many business schools across the world and allows me to take my IBMBA degree to other countries for career advancement. Lastly, the program is a great opportunity to meet new international students and enhance my network as well as explore the Taiwanese culture and its people. I have found that Taiwanese people are the most welcoming and friendly out of all people I have met in Asia. I definitely recommend the IBMBA program at NSYSU to anyone who is looking to further enhance their careers!

The reason why I love Kaohsiung so much is mostly because of its relaxed pace. The weather is just right and people are nice. National Sun Yat-sen University is located at the perfect place with mountains, the ocean, and stunning sunsets. To me, choosing IBMBA is the best decision that I have ever made. It provides an international environment that gives me the chance to meet people, but more importantly to meet people from around the world. It's also challenging because we have to work in a diverse team. However, this allows us to strengthen our problem-solving skills and it makes us team players. Learning about the business world is not the only important thing in the program. I also know how to interact with people outside the classroom. The department provides us with plenty of fun activities that allow us to share our experiences and learn from each other.
