On June 4, 2025, the Consulting Methods and Practices class from the GHRM MBA and IBMBA programs at NSYSU had the honor of visiting the headquarters of Long Shun Fishery Group to present their final project reports. The course, led by Professor Chien-Yuan Sher and Professor Heidi Zhang, is a cornerstone of the GHRM MBA program, emphasizing the development of soft skills through real-world applications and rigorous academic training.
During the final presentation, the students showcased outstanding analytical skills by presenting comprehensive quantitative findings from large-scale surveys alongside qualitative insights gathered from both supervisory and non-supervisory employees. Their data-oriented methodology underscored opportunities to enhance Lung Soon Company’s compensation structures and employee development programs.
The proposals included creative recommendations, such as introducing additional bonus categories and designing a series of training initiatives aimed at cultivating diverse employee competencies. These ideas were firmly grounded in thorough research, detailed data analysis, and firsthand qualitative interviews, reflecting the students’ dedication to evidence-based management practices.
Through a combination of qualitative interviews and on-site observations, the students successfully pinpointed critical areas in Lung Soon’s compensation and training systems that required improvement. This integrated approach ensured the recommendations were both conceptually robust and feasible in practice.
This achievement highlights the academic strength of NSYSU’s GHRM and IBMBA programs and demonstrates the students’ capacity to translate their expertise into practical, meaningful outcomes.
